In the original image the woman holds two apples. The client needed the image to illustrate making a choice between healthy and unhealthy food. I replaced the red apple with a cupcake. I also eliminated the dent in her chin, under-eye wrinkles, acne and skin blotchiness. The double straps to her top were changed to single straps and bright highlight on the left side of the green apple was eliminated.

The image was too red, overall. There were other cosmetic imperfections as well. To correct it, the redness was toned down overall and over their skintones. The background was toned down and cooled for better balance. The woman's teeth were evened out and the hair over her eye was removed. The man's beard stubble and the under-eye circles were removed. Still, the image was left with a natural look.

The original image had a busy background that needed to be eliminated. In addition, the child's hand was in motion and blurred. Another image of a hand was used to replace the original giving the image crisp, clean edges. The yellow cast to her skin was also eliminated.
